 In 2018 the County of Haliburton passed a new bylaw governing Shoreline Tree Preservation.  It provides for fines of up to $100,000 for the removal of trees within 30 meters of the shoreline.  The link below includes various details related to the stricter rules and includes details of the steps you should take if you suspect trees along the shoreline are being injured or destroyed illegally.  Click the link below to download the PDF.
