Kennisis Lake History Book Initiative

Kennisis Lake History Book  The KLCOA is in the beginning stages of creating a history book of the lake. Save your old photos, flyers and photos.
Family stories, lake folklore and historical facts are important to preserve.   We are partnering with U-Links (Community-Based Research) and have a research student.

We are gathering photos & stories about the lake. We would love to hear your family cottaging history. How did you end up here? What is your favourite thing about the lake? Do you have a cherished photo or cottage life story you would like to share? Have you found an interesting artefact on your property or in your cottage? Did you come to the lake with your summer camp for a canoe trip? Did you catch the biggest fish ever? Do you know how the bays and islands were named? Was your cottage ordered out of the Eaton’s catalog and delivered in a box? Do you still have all your regatta trophies? Were you here when the big tornado came through? Do you have all your cottage visitor books?

Please help us create a totally awesome book you will want to flip through over and over again.
