Saturday September 29
It’s time to clean up the sides of Watts Road. Sadly there are cans, bottles and other garbage all along our beautiful cottage road. Gloves and bags will be provided.
We will meet at the clearing by the bridge between Little and Big K and set out in groups from there.
This cleanup day has been approved by Dysart et al. Dysart will provide some signage for safety and also vests to improve the visibility of the volunteers. Crews from Dysart will pick up all of the bags of garbage collected by our volunteers so all we need to do is get it off of the ground and into the bags provided.
This event is being organized by Julie Bramm and Natalie Wood who encouraged Dysart to implement their own roadside cleanup program similar to that already in place at Haliburton County for County roads. Our thanks to both Julie and Natalie for taking the initiative to get this rolling. Let’s make sure we have plenty of volunteers and show that the people around Kennisis care about the beautiful setting of which we are blessed to be part.
