KLCOA has signed an agreement with the County of Haliburton to adopt a stretch of Kennisis Lake Road from Rough Stone Trail (before West Shore as you’re coming into the lake) to the end of the County Road (at Wilkinson Drive).
Last year’s cleanup was a great success with many volunteers and considerable debris being removed.
We hate to ask but we know for certain that a little effort will leave the roadside looking great for another year. Volunteers are paired up and then given a short stretch of the road. Bags and gloves are provided.
If you can help out for an hour or two the morning of Saturday May 5th, please contact Brenda at firstname.lastname@example.org. All are welcome. If there’s a student in the family, this is a great way for them to get some of their community volunteer hours. Brenda will provide full details in her response to your email.
Be proud during your drive along Kennisis Road knowing that you had a hand in making the roadside beautiful and free of debris.
As they say, “many hands make light work,” so let’s all come out to help!
