For many the 2000 season has come to an end,
the cottage is “packed away” for the winter and Kennisis is
but a recent memory. However,
for many, the season on Kennisis never ends.
We’ve had our first significant snowfalls and the hopes
of avid snowmobilers and skiers have risen appreciatively.
For those who live permanently on the lake, life goes on as
usual. As I write
this newsletter, I look out on a frozen (not safe) lake,
snow-covered trees, birds at the feeder , etc.
Life can’t get much better than that!
This short newsletter is designed to keep you
up to date about what has transpired since our annual meeting in
September. Not only
have you received a hard copy, you can also read it on our
website, www.klcoa.org. The website offers you an opportunity to keep up to date
throughout the year as we will be updating information as it
becomes available. Additionally,
we have created many links which will allow you to get even more
information than we provide.
It is our hope that the use of the website
will allow us to lower the cost of mailing our newsletters.
This is even more important when we consider the possible
rise in postal rates in the coming year.
More detailed information is covered later in this edition
and I urge you to study the proposal, think about it and respond.
Thanks for your continued support of the
efforts of the executive who work throughout the year to make our
community the wonderful place it is.
As always, your comments and positive
suggestions are welcomed. Please
feel free to contact any of the members of the executive or call
me or e-mail me at; president@klcoa.org
