Throughout the fall the quiet of the lake has often been interrupted by the BOOM of blasting as the road accessing the new development is being constructed.  They’re really making progress and a drive down the road shows that they’ve made it past Cat Bay. (This is not an invitation to drive the road yourself, unless, of course, you enjoy playing “chicken” with huge machinery).

I’m happy to report that our efforts to preserve the area known as “Soap Pond” appear to meeting with success.  It looks like a solution which will satisfy the needs of the lake, the Roads Department and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries can be reached and we’re pleased with the positive response of the developer.  Once we have something concrete to share with you, we’ll get the word out.
