The Kennisis Lakes community has approximately 950 properties that ring the two lakes.  
Membership is strictly voluntary, but the continued annual support of members allows the 
Association to expand its involvements, activities, and endeavours in the interest of all 
property owners and for the preservation of the place and times we all love!
2008 membership stickers will be available at the Spring Members' General Meeting to be 
held on Saturday May 17, 2008 at the Seminar Room of the Haliburton Forest (coffee 
9:00am, start 9:30am).  Any not picked up will be mailed at a later date.

Some of the current areas your KLCOA membership dues are working for you: 
*	Two newsletters per year and regularly updated website (www.klcoa.org)
*	Two general meetings per year (May & September long weekends)
*	Canada Day fireworks
*	Rock Bass Derby
*	Annual Regatta (August long weekend)
*	Red Cross endorsed swimming lessons
*	Community Policing on a year-round basis
*	Membership in FOCA (Federation of Ontario Cottagers' Association)
*	Lobbying at the Provincial and Municipal levels for: better roads, fire and police protection, 911 
service, lower taxes and controlled waterfront development
*	Management of a Lake Plan
*	Management of the KLCOA Community Lands issues
*	Annual/ongoing testing of our lake's water through Ministry programs
*	Partnerships/communication with organizations pertinent to our lake's future (municipal, provincial 
and federal) ie. WRAFT, CEWF
*	An active Executive and Committees on your behalf
